The Fusion Sustainability Action Team (FSAT) is a dynamic group of young professionals who empower our community to live, work and play in ways that protect the long-term health of our environment, society and economy. Through initiatives including panel discussions, environmental movie nights, and the Halifax Tool Library, FSAT raises awareness of diverse sustainability issues, creates a forum for discussion, and empowers our demographic to work toward both everyday solutions and city-wide change.

Recent activities:

  • Launched the Halifax Tool Library, after raising more than $10,000 through crowdfunding.
  • Inspired the creation of It’s More than Buses, a grassroots campaign for public transportation reform and renewal in Halifax.
  • Organized a public dialogue on green-belting, featuring local environmental experts.
  • Held regular Blue Drink nights in support of water conservation.
