Originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, Mahbubur has called Halifax, Nova Scotia home for a decade. He's an active community leader and past Chair of Fusion Halifax. Currently, he serves as Vice President (Program) at the Project Management Institute, Nova Scotia Chapter, and volunteers extensively.

Mahbubur is a recognized achiever, receiving awards like Top 25 Immigrant of the Maritimes 2018. With an MPA, MASc in Civil Engineering, and PMP certification, he's a Project Manager at the Department of Community Services, Government of Nova Scotia. Mahbubur lives in Halifax with his family, making a positive impact on his community.
